Together in Giving

Why do we give to the church?

2026 Giving Plan

Our gifts express our gratitude to God, our trust in God’s promises, and our desire to participate in God’s work in the world.

Sharing your 2026 plan for giving allows the Finance ministry to plan the church’s work for the year, making the most of everyone’s gifts.

The church’s many ministries are the fruit of your gifts — thank you! We appreciate you!

If you are 72 or older and are taking a minimum distribution from a retirement account, you can contribute to the church with a Charitable Distribution tax free and it reduces your Retirement Minimum Distribution. Please speak with your financial advisor.

Plan Your Legacy

First Presbyterian is more than 200 years old. We are rooted in the generosity of many generations who imagined who First Presbyterian could be. At the same time, we dream and envision and nurture the soil for those who will follow.

The Endowment provides a stable foundation for our mission and ministry. It is made up of a general endowment, which provides the most flexibility for the church’s needs and future; and of funds that support specific ministries such as Christian Formation, Outreach, Worship and Music, and elderly assistance.

The Paisley Heritage Fellowship, named for our founding minister, recognizes members who have included the church in their estate planning or made an endowed gift during their lifetime. There is no minimum amount – every gift is important and will support our ministries.

Give now with cash, securities, real estate, other assets, or an IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution.

Give & Get Income: A Charitable Remainder Trust is an irrevocable gift of assets into a charitable trust that provides you a fixed or variable income for life or for a set term. A Charitable Lead Trust provides funds to the church for multiple years before passing them on to your loved ones at little or no tax. A Pooled Income Fund is a charitable mutual fund that provides you income throughout your life; after your lifetime, the remainder goes to church ministry.

Give later with a bequest, endowed gifts, retirement assets, life insurance, or a beneficiary designation.

Contact Senior Pastor Jill Duffield if you would like to talk. Please send this documentation of your plans to Finance Director Christine Ciaccio.
