Outreach
Rooted in Christ’s love, we seek to be faithful changemakers for good in our community and the world. We have five priority areas in Outreach.
Special Events
GIVE BLOOD IN MARCH
The American Red Cross will be on campus on March 11, 1:30 to 6 pm. Walk-ins are welcome, but you’ll get done more quickly if you make a reservation. Choose your time.
SERVICE OF HEALING AND HOPE
People across faith traditions will gather in our sanctuary to sing in grief, power, and solidarity on April 21 at 5:30 pm, in partnership with the Interfaith Immigrant Justice Coalition of Greensboro.
NEIL’S MEALS
Our next food-packing event will be April 11 at 9 am. About 130 of us will pack thousands of meals for local families, in partnership with the Out of the Garden Project. All ages & abilities can help. Sign up now.
SPEAK UP TO END HUNGER
Each spring we participate in the non-partisan Offering of Letters through Bread for the World. These letters ask our representatives in Washington to pass the Farm Bill, which supports farmers and crucial funding for hunger programs. You can sign a letter at Neil’s Meals on April 11, and in the Life Center, the Tower Room, and the narthex through April 26.
L. RICHARDSON TRUST GRANTS
March 16 is the application deadline. Encourage organizations who are working to make a difference in our community and world to apply. More info here.
Make a Difference
Whether once a week or once a month, you can make a difference in our ongoing ministries such as Hot Dish & Hope and the Wednesday Food Drive-by, or with one of our nine community partners. See the opportunities.
