Sunday Classes

Classes meet at 10 am and are open to all. See this Sunday’s topics.

  • The pastors will lead Unafraid October 26, November 9 & 16. Adam Hamilton’s book explores living with courage & hope amid illness, loneliness, financial insecurity, disappointing others, failure, insignificance, and aging. October 26 and November 2 led by Matt Bussell; November 9, Jill Duffield; and November 16, Erin Bowers.

From religious art to current issues to book studies to guest speakers, this class offers an eclectic schedule. Meets in the Garden Room. Contact Philip Lopp.

UPCOMING TOPICS

  • October 26-November 16: Biblical Prophecy – Past and Present. In biblical interpretation, prediction and prophecy are very different concepts. Learn why it matters. Led by Samuel Moss, a freelance scholar with
    an MDiv from Duke University and 30+ years of teaching experience. Continues through November 16.
  • November 30-December 14: What Makes Matthew Special. It is the only gospel to mention the magi and to use the phrase “kingdom of heaven.” It references the Old Testament 130+ times. Learn more about the opening book of the New Testament. Led by Samuel Moss.

Keynote Speaker Niki Hardy

WOMEN’S RETREAT

The retreat will be January 24 & 25 at Grandover. On Saturday, we will have keynote addresses, music, chat groups, optional activities/free time, lunch & dinner. On Sunday morning, breakfast and a worship service with communion. Friday night is optional, with a reception with retreat speaker Niki Hardy and local artist Ashley Vanore.

Two-thirds of our spots are taken! Registration is open as long as rooms are available or November 21, whichever comes first. Learn more.

Yoga for Healthy Aging
