With Our Ongoing Ministries

Hot Dish & Hope: Set up and serve dinners on a Tuesday or Thursday. Pick a date here that works for you, or just come to Mullin Life Center at 4 pm on Tuesday or Thursday.
Food Drive-by for Urban Ministry: Greet people and place canned & nonperishable food donations in the van, 11 am to 1 pm Wednesdays outside Redhead Hall on Elm Street side of the church. Pick a date here. Also drop off donations in the red wagons anytime you are on campus.
Meals on Wheels: Be a substitute with our monthly Meals on Wheels team and take a hot meal to a homebound senior. Contact Linda Allen to join the list.
Recycle Runs: Bring your glass and #6 foam to the recycling center, and offer to bring it for neighbors or friends! The FPC recycling center is on the upper level of the Shetler building parking deck, near Elm Street & Fisher Avenue.
Peacehaven Farm: Young adults can join in a small group. Contact Anne Chamblee.

- Faith Action: Help refugees and immigrants create new lives in Greensboro.
- StepUp Greensboro: Do mock interviews, serve as mentors, provide meals, help out in the office, take pictures, help with special events, lead groups.
- Backpack Beginnings: Help organize donations in the warehouse, deliver comfort backpacks to schools and other locations.
- Have furniture or other home goods to donate? The Barnabas Furniture Bank helps families leaving homelessness or dealing with fire and other disasters equip a home and sells furniture to support its work.
- Beyond Plastics Greensboro works to reduce plastic pollution.
- Greensboro Urban Ministry: Sort donations to the food pantry, serve in the community kitchen, and more.
- Triad Career Network: Helps people facing unemployment and underemployment find jobs and move ahead in their careers. Refer people, share job openings, and volunteer.
- Wheels4Hope would love to have your old car to repair and sell for $500 to recipients recommended by local nonprofits.
- The YWCA is one of the few places in Greensboro to provide shelter for unhoused families. Donate basic supplies like pillows, sheets, blankets & towels; provide a dinner; donate cleaning and other supplies for those moving into an apartment. Sign up here.
