Strategic Planning

Membership in the Church of Jesus Christ is a joy and a privilege. It is also a commitment to participate in Christ’s mission. A faithful member bears witness to God’s love and grace and promises to be involved responsibly in the ministry of Christ’s Church.

What follows is a list of what this involvement includes, culminating with “reviewing and evaluating regularly the integrity of one’s membership, and considering ways in which one’s participation in worship and service of the church may be increased and made more meaningful.”

This “reviewing and evaluating” of mission and commitment is incumbent upon us not only as individual disciples, but also as a congregation. This spring FPC is embarking on a strategic planning process. We have engaged Ministry Architects to help us. Representatives will be here April 25-27 to hear your thoughts, distill them, and then share with us what they have heard about our assets and challenges, how we compare with other churches around the country, and where it seems God might be taking us next. They will offer specific recommendations and a blueprint for moving forward.

Your voice is critical to this work. Please reflect on your experiences and dreams for the church, and bring them to one of the small group listening sessions.
