Dear Families,

At KDC on November 3rd, we remembered that we are called to be grateful as a response to God’s love and grace. Then, our 3rd-5th graders collectively wrote a Psalm of Thanksgiving. As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to share their words with you:

Dear God,
Thank you for giving us life, choices, and freedom.
Thank you for family & friends, for shelter & water & food.
Thanks you for plants & rain & sunshine.

We remember
People who don’t have freedom or choices,
people who are lonely,
people who don’t have shelter or food or clean water,
people who have died, and
people who are unfairly judged.

Help us take care of the world and of each other.
Help us treat others as we want to be treated.

Thank you, God, for listening and loving us. Amen.

We are a grateful for each of you and are so thankful that we get to walk alongside your youth as they grow in faith and become the people that God is calling them to be! May these words be a blessing to you as they were to me!

Please note, there will be no E-News next week as I’m taking a little time out of the office before Thanksgiving!
