Fall is in the air!! 🍂 Here’s what’s happening!

This Sunday
Trick or Treating at 10am!! Children are invited to wear their costumes to church! We’ll gather at the back of the Life Center at 10am and, then, we’ll head around the church to collect treats from adult classes and other staff members! (Remember to bring your treat buckets!!) We’ll end on the Elm Street Playground where parents can pick up children at 10:50. **If your child is under three years old, please plan to accompany them as we walk around the church! Otherwise, parents may walk or may attend the Sticky Faith class in Memorial 300.
Sticky Faith Sunday School class for parents! Join other parents of all ages & stages for our new Sticky Faith class that will meet at 10am in Memorial 300! The Class will be led by various FPC staff. This Sunday, Newton Cowan leads!
Worship – 9am Rejoice! and 11am Sanctuary!
Nursery care available beginning at 8:45am.

Coming Up
October 25 (Wednesday) – Young Adult & Young Families Simple Suppers, 5:30-6:30 – The first one in September was great and we are doing it again in October and November! Join other adults for a meal and simple scripture discussion while the kids eat and play with FPC staff and members. We need a headcount for food and child care, so please SIGN UP HERE!!
NEXT SUNDAY: OCTOBER 29- Congregational Retreat Day at Camp Weaver!! The whole congregation will gather at Camp Weaver YMCA for Sunday school, worship, lunch and activities!! ***There will be NO activities on FPC campus that day.*** Registration for lunch is closed online, but if you did not sign up and would like to attend, please reply to this email or contact Yolanda Baxter (ybaxter@fpcgreensboro.org). Come for all of it or any part as your schedule permits!
10am – Fellowship, coffee, doughnuts
10:15 – Intergenerational Sunday School/Preparing for Worship
11am – Worship
Noon – Lunch
1-3pm – Canoeing, Archery, Rock Climbing, Playground, arts & crafts, fellowship!
In November:
- November 5 – Kids Disciple Club will meet at FPC from 3-4:30. We’ll play some games, talk about gratitude, and make blessing bags to share with our homeless neighbors. If you would like to help provide items for the blessing bags, SIGN UP HERE.
- November 5 & 12 – Regular Sunday School @ 10am
- November 13 – We will have an information meeting for any 3rd-5th grade families interested in attending Passport Kids Camp in June 2024. The meeting will be at 6:30pm on Zoom and I will send the link to all 3rd-5th grade families closer to the date!
- November 18 –Parent’s Night Out! Kids will stay at FPC with loving caregivers for play, pizza, and Encanto while parents have an opportunity to enjoy some time on their own!! Registration will be in the Oct. 25 E-news. Cost will be $15 per child. Open only to FPC members.
- November 19 – Sunday School Movie Day!
- November 26 – No Sunday School
- November 29 – Young Families & Young Adult Simple Supper, 5:30-6:30

Other Notes and Info
- Our Preschool-Elementary students will begin their milestone classes in January. They will go until early March. We are still in need a few more milestone class teachers – especially for Preschool (Bible Superheroes), Kinder/1st (Beginner Bible), 3rd (Worship Education), & 5th (catechism). If you would be interested in joining one of these teaching teams, please let me know!
- Finally – are you planning ahead for Christmas!?!?! 🎄Well, heads up that Christmas Eve is on a Sunday this year! That morning, our family nativity worship service will take place at 10am and will be the ONLY worship service in the morning. There will also be 5:30 & 11pm candlelight & communion services. (Children are welcome in ALL services & worhsip bags will be available. There will be no nursery care.)
