This Sunday

In the morning:
Sunday school at 10am

Preschoolers (ages 3 & 4) – CORL 304
Kindergarten-2nd grade – CORL 301
3rd-5th grade – CORL 306

Sticky Faith Sunday School class for parents! Join other parents of all ages & stages for our new Sticky Faith class that will meet at 10am in Memorial 300! The Class will be led by various FPC staff. This Sunday, Jill Duffield leads! 

Worship – 9am Rejoice! and 11am Sanctuary!
Nursery care available beginning at 8:45am.

In the afternoon:
Blessing of the Animals, 3-4pm on the Elm Street Playground!

It’s supposed to be a beautiful fall day, so come out to join us for this fun event! No pets? No worries!! Some of our members who are nurses will be there to offer stuffed animal check ups! We’ll have crafts, treats, and other activities as well! It will be a great opportunity connect with other FPC folks and meet their pets! **Please make sure pets are appropriately leashed or crated and be sure to clean up after you fur babies! 😉

Coming Up

  • October 22– Trick or Treating during Sunday School! Kids (and adults!) can wear their costumes to church! We’ll travel to various locations throughout the church to collect treats and we’ll end on the Elm Street Playground! I’m rounding up some helping hands to assist with supervising the kids, so parents are invited to attend the Sticky Faith parent class session that day.
  • October 25 (Wednesday) – Young adult & Young Families Simple Suppers, 5:30-6:30 – The first one last week was great and we are doing it again in October and November! Join other adults for a meal and simple scripture discussion while the kids eat and play with FPC staff and members. We need a headcount for food and child care, so please SIGN UP HERE!!
  • October 29 – I am so excited about our FPC Family Retreat Day at Camp Weaver YMCA! Our entire congregation is invited to come together at Camp Weaver for fellowship, worship, lunch, and lots of fun activities! ****Get all the details & SIGN UP HERE by October 12!!**** **PLEASE NOTE – there are no activities taking place on FPC campus that day. Everything is at Camp Weaver!

Looking ahead to November:

  • November 5  – Kids Disciple Club will meet at FPC from 3-4:30. We’ll play some games, talk about gratitude, and make blessing bags to share with our homeless neighbors. If you would like to help provide items for the blessing bags, SIGN UP HERE.
  • November 5 & 12 – Regular Sunday School @ 10am
  • November 13 – We will have an information meeting for any 3rd-5th grade families interested in attending Passport Kids Camp in June 2024. The meeting will be at 6:30pm on Zoom and I will send the link to all 3rd-5th grade families closer to the date!
  • November 18 –Parent’s Night Out! Kids will stay at FPC with loving caregivers for play, pizza, and Encanto while parents have an opportunity to enjoy some time on their own!! Registration will be in the Oct. 25 E-news. Cost will be $15 per child. Open only to FPC members. 
  • November 19 – Sunday School Movie Day!
  • November 26 – No Sunday School
  • November 29 – Young Families & Young Adult Simple Supper, 5:30-6:30
